WHY BECOME RESILIENCE FIRST AID (RFA) CERTIFIED?
- Are you losing your sh¡t?
- Are you close to losing your sh¡t?
- Are the people around you losing their sh¡t?
That's already three fabulous reasons to become Resilience First Aid (RFA) certified!
Only 1 in 10 of us have resilience that’s strong enough to protect against mental illness.
This means 9 out of 10 of us can benefit from increasing our resilience, mindset and wellbeing skills to protect against depression, anxiety and other forms of mental ill-health, or in other words, losing our sh¡t.
This is why we need to take a preventative approach to mental health.
Rather than waiting until people need professional treatment, we can take action early on and start supporting each other to connect and build mental wellness.
Resilience First Aid (RFA) is a practical, peer reviewed and evidence-based mental health certification that teaches strength-based skills to build resilience in ourselves and others.
We also learn how to recognise when someone may be struggling, practice different ways to start a wellbeing conversation, and develop skills that strengthen resilience, mindset and wellbeing.
This is a new approach aimed at having trained mental health champions in place who actively boost the resilience and mental health in their businesses, organisations, communities and families.
RFA is also a meaningful, measurable and practical option for organisations and businesses to meet their psychosocial safety obligations as required under the new WH&S legislation. RFA improves the mental health and wellbeing of leaders, managers and staff, and helps build positive, productive and supportive workplaces.
Research by Driven shows Resilience First Aid has a proven impact, building both personal resilience and peer support skills, plus enhancing suicide prevention skills by 33%.

"I've recently completed Resilience First Aid training, and it's given me a practical way to think about resilience beyond the usual 'just push through narrative.
A huge thank you to Carey for such thoughtful and insightful facilitation. Through the training, I've learnt a great deal about myself, how I respond under pressure, what grounds me, and where my anchors sit. Just as importantly, it's strengthened my ability to recognise when others may be struggling and how to support them in a meaningful, practical way.
What really resonated was the idea of anchoring yourself. When things are complex, pressured or uncertain, having clear anchors helps you stay focused, regulate your response, and avoid losing sight of what actually matters. It's about responding with intention rather than reaction.
Resilience isn't about being unshakeable. It's about knowing where to ground yourself, who to lean on, and how to keep moving forward without losing your values, your perspective, or your health along the way."

"The timing and delivery of the Resilience First Aid course delivered by Carey Hauri came along at the right time for me.
I have to admit I was overwhelmed and floundering by personal circumstance and business prospects. After completing the course and hearing of Carey's experiences, combined with her empathetic management of others circumstances sharing their experiences, resulted in a very well delivered and executed course. All students participated and supported each other providing a safe space to confront and accept life's hurdles in both a direct and indirect way.
Thoroughly recommend Carey and this course for personal development as it also enables ongoing support and training as required."
